MEET MARYANNE PAUL

ABOUT YOUR MINISTER

Maryanne Paul is an Ordained Minister with the Metaphysical Church of Canada and licensed with the Province of Ontario.

When I was younger, I had my palm read, and the person said I would live a life of servitude. I was young and immature, and the only thing I could think of is, oh my god, I will be a bartender all my life! Hey, it’s excellent work, but you know how exhausting it is if you have done it. Little did I know, it was leading me here. I have learned and earned many gifts in my life, and my favourite gift is the ability in celebrating others well. It’s important to me that you feel your story has been told well, that you are fully seen and celebrated, especially at this significant moment in your life. Our culture has lost the importance of ceremony and celebrating each other. It’s my mission to bring the ceremony back and have a great time in doing so!

I have been a public speaker for the last thirteen years, and what a thrill it is for me to be doing it for you!  It’s your day, your way! We can make it spiritual or not; it’s totally up to you. The earth and her elements are powerful and if you are called, I will bring these elements into your ceremony.

The story of Blue Glass goes back several years. When my eldest son was small, we were at the beach, and I found a small beautiful piece of blue glass; when I showed him the beach glass, he proclaimed it was good luck. So, it has become our thing; when we find pieces of blue glass on the beach, we consider it an omen of good things to come. At a particularly tough time in my life, I went to our favourite beach and desperately wanted to find a piece so I could know that things would be okay. I had given up finding blue beach glass and, feeling quite sad, was walking back to my car when a little dog and her human came by. As I was petting the little dog, her human and I were chatting, and she said it looked like I had been looking for something. I told her I was looking for blue beach glass. She asked me to meet her at her house in 20 minutes and gave me the address. When I got there, she had left out this magnificent chunk of blue glass with a note that she had found it years ago on the beach where we met and wanted to gift it to me. It may have been my most essential life lesson. We are always given what we need, and the universe always brings us people who see us and celebrate us, sometimes we need a reminder to look for and accept it from others. We are all connected. It is the people we meet where our stories come to life.

Most importantly, I believe in love. Big love. I believe in family – especially the complicated ones!

I’m looking forward to meeting you, learning your story and creating the ceremony of your dreams.
