Although this is traditionally a newborn service, we can do this for everyone at any age!

I attended a Catholic service to baptize one of my fabulous nephews and I hated most of it. Except of course…our little guy’s moment. There were multiple families, there was nothing personal and then the priest said during prayers “may God bless all Catholic mothers”.  This will not be your baby ceremony.

Welcoming your baby (or child) is a huge deal. Your child is being welcomed into your family, your circle, becoming one of you.

Some ceremony options:

• I am ordained to baptize in the name of God
• We can do a welcome to earth, star child ceremony
• We can do an earth dedication ceremony
• We can do a simple welcoming ceremony

All of these options include your people. I believe that not only do God Parents play an essential role but your entire community. This is a welcoming and commitment to family and community ceremony.
